Thread veins
Commonly known as spider veins are very common and can be very unsightly if prominent. They occur mainly on the legs and face and are more common in ladies than men.
They can cause significant embarrassment and often interfere with the ability to wear shorts or short skirts in the summer months.
These cosmetically unsightly blood vessels can be safely and effectively treated with sclerotherapy.

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment of unsightly thread veins in which the practitioner introduces a very fine needle into the thread vein and injects a chemical solution called a sclerosant, which over the course of a few weeks, seals the vein and causes it to fade.
Several injections over the length of the tread veins are needed and session lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Afterwards, cotton wool pads are applied to the injection sites and compression stockings are advised to be worn for 3 days. Sometimes, 3 or 4 sessions are needed to get the desired results. Each session is separated by an interval of about 8 - 12 weeks. Perfect skin cannot be guaranteed but 80-95% of people are either pleased or very pleased.
